{"id":157,"date":"2017-04-14T20:09:36","date_gmt":"2017-04-15T03:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ve6sar.northernsmiths.ca\/?p=157"},"modified":"2017-04-14T20:09:36","modified_gmt":"2017-04-15T03:09:36","slug":"60m-nvis-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ve6sar.northernsmiths.ca\/?p=157","title":{"rendered":"60m NVIS Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I discussed in my previous <a href=\"http:\/\/ve6sar.northernsmiths.ca\/60m-propagation-experiment\/\" target=\"_blank\">post<\/a> I&#8217;m involved in a propagation experiment on the 60m, 5mhz Amateur Radio Band.<\/p>\n<p>Things are coming along nicely we have active beacon stations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Recently a couple Hams from Idaho have joined our project in a receive only capacity as the American regulations don&#8217;t allow for automatic beacons on the 60m band.<\/p>\n<p>We are continuing to collect data, as of the time the writing of this post we have over 138Mb of data. Thanks to the help of Philip Gladstone who owns <a href=\"https:\/\/pskreporter.info\" target=\"_blank\">pskreporter.info<\/a> for allowing us to gather data directly from his system for this project.
